What This Book Offers
Life After The Shadow was not written from a distance. Tom Hammergren wrote it from inside the experience — as a patient, as a person of faith, and as someone who searched for resources that spoke honestly about what it means to live with a cancer diagnosis and still believe in the goodness of God.
This book does not offer easy answers. It offers something more enduring: a steady hand, a quiet word of scripture, and the assurance that others have walked this road and found their way through. Whether you are newly diagnosed, deep in treatment, or learning to live as a survivor, these pages were written for you.
It is also a gift for care partners — spouses, children, friends — who carry their own quiet grief and need their own place to be seen.
